Hell’s Gate Roadhouse is located about 50km east of the Northern Territory and Queensland Border on the Savannah Way. In the late 1800’s Hell’s Gate got its name because the police would guarantee safety to this point. Further west, travellers were on their own! Hell’s Gate roadhouse is your stop for food and drink, supplies and fuel – the last fuel for 320km heading west. There is also accommodation available including powered and unpowered sites, donga rooms and ensuite cabins.

The roadhouse is a great spot to relax with a coffee and good food. Our lolly shop is a hit too! We also stock essential supplies and have fuel available. There are a number of accommodation options including ensuite units, powered and un-powered campsites, and donga accommodation. Amenities include toilets and showers, a fully furnished camp kitchen, and laundries. There are plenty of farm animals to enjoy too, making it a great spot for families with kids.

Remote Camping locations are owned and operated by Gangalidda and Garawa Services through Yagurli Tours, which is based at the Burketown Information Centre. There are a number of sites available. Camping site accessibility can vary depending on weather.
