Burke Shire Council Small Business Policies

Burke Shire Council Business Innovation Policy 

Burke Shire Council's Business Innovation Policy aims to support new or expanding businesses in the Burke Shire Region. The scheme aims to provide targeted assistance that will result in local employment and investment opportunities. The scheme incorporates the offsetting of some costs associated with establishing a new business which may include, but is not limited to, rates, permits, rent and fee concessions. The scheme is aimed at creating healthy, sustainable, strong and growing businesses in the Shire. Burke Shire Council Small Business Digital Incentive Grants Policy 

Burke Shire Council has developed this policy to encourage our local businesses to take up new technologies that could potentially improve efficiency, quality and competitiveness of their business. The scheme will offset the cost of various digital programs or subscriptions that aim to streamline business operations for a period of up to 12 months. Digital programs can include, but are not limited to, the uptake of new accounting software, new website subscriptions, new booking platforms, new e-commerce platforms etc.

Burke Shire Council Small Business Facade Improvements and Upgrades Grants Policy 

Burke Shire Council has developed this policy to incentivise local businesses to invest in façade improvements for their business. The policy aims to subside costs associated with upgrading signage, improving customer facing fencing, painting shop fronts, removal of derelict structures etc.
